Das Holz der Kokospalme ist eine nachhaltige Alternative zu anderen Holzarten, denn es wird ausschließlich totes Holz von Palmen verwendet, an denen keine Kokosnüsse mehr wachsen. Dadurch wird Platz für neue Palmen geschaffen, an welcher wieder frische Kokosnüsse entstehen können. Ein weiterer Vorteil des Kokospalmenholzes ist, dass es sehr stabil ist – vergleichbar mit der Härte von Mahagoni Holz.
